For those of you who do not know me, I am Stacy Hinojos (ee-no-hos), and I am a Central Wisconsin poet and author. My writing background includes being a freelance writer for various projects, including businesses and non-profits, and blogging. (Anyone else miss the days of MySpace blogging?) I have just published my first book of poems entitled, These Words, in March of 2024.
I have wanted to publish a book for quite a long time, but poetry is one of the most difficult forms of writing to have published with a major publishing company. Thankfully, there are cost effective ways to self-publish now, and so self-publish I did!
I decided to start a blog to let you in on my writing process and give you an insight into the world of being an independently published author. I'm always up to answering any questions you might have, so please feel free to contact me, and who knows, one day it might become a blog! I want this blog to feel like a couple of old friends, sitting at the table and catching up.
